In the Margins

This is the space where I will record my own thoughts, opinions, and side notes.

Why Should I Study Social Psych?

I want to practice "deduction."
I want to become more perceptive.
I want to think like Sherlock or another detective.
Why should I care about social psychology?

Legitimate question.

You don't have to.
It's a lengthy study of human behaviour, which is helpful as you're searching for clues.
Sometimes the posts on this blog lean towards the theory or foundations upon which behaviour is built.
Sometimes the posts will quickly and explicitly show you how to identify certain traits.
Sometimes these identification tools are embedded in an extensive post.
If you choose to stay here, I welcome you to what I hope will be the continuation of a hobby or the piquing of an interest.

Eyes Wide Open

you'll achieve your goals if you learn all that you can. pay close attention at work, at school, in your daily life. learning about social psychology is a great start, but there's probably more to the "Sherlockian mindset" than that. your knowledge needs to be well-rounded. be observant, be inquisitive. have fun. keep reading Conan Doyle's works for inspiration. good luck!

Calling All Bookworms!
Remember that you can always check the Reading List for book recommendations. I've read through all the ones mentioned and used them to assemble this blog-site. Sometimes the vocabulary is a bit technical, but that's what the dictionary is for.

Formatting
I apologize for the occasional odd formatting on this blog-site. I've tried in vain to fix these issues. Sorry if the spacing is as bothersome to your eyes as it is to mine.
As for the format of notes on this blog-site, I will attempt to alternate between standard bulleted/linear notes, mind webs, and other interesting forms.

Deductive Reasoning
I am in the process of creating a deductive reasoning post for you. This is a far branch off of social psychology, but it might be your main interest or objective. Please allow me time to gather, comprehend, and introduce this topic. Thank you for your patience.

Concerns or Comments
Don't wait til it's too late to say what you want to. You can post comments directly on this blog or via Twitter. We're @SHdeduction.

I keep a place in the sidebar to mention when the next post will be, but please note this is approximate. Life happens, as we all know, and I am subject to post before, after, or on the projected date. This is just a rough estimate for you to know when to check back. Thank you for your understanding.

I do not own the pictures used on this page.
